Dear IHSGB Members,
On behalf of the Trustees, I am pleased to give notice of our 2017 AGM and invite you to attend the proceedings, which this year will be held at Callow End Village Hall, Worcester.
You will find attached the necessary statutory documents including a copy of the Annual Report and Financial Statements here.
In accordance with our Articles of Association, a number of trustee posts are available for nomination this year, namely Studbook Registrar, Communications and Leisure Riding. All posts exist to serve the needs of the Society and its membership – and are key to maintaining and developing our objectives and values – so here is your opportunity to get involved and contribute to our Society and have an influence on our future. Procedures and nomination forms are included in this announcement:
Our agenda for the day will include resolutions covering Breeding Team selection rules and Studbook updates. An Open Forum will provide an opportunity to present and discuss proposals for our future development, where your thoughts and contributions to the discussion will be welcomed.
In addition to the general business of the AGM there will be:
• A Christmas bring and buy bazaar, aimed at all our “crafty” and otherwise talented IHSGB members who would like to bring their homemade arts, crafts, Christmas cards, produce etc. for sale. Ideal Christmas presents! Please come and take the opportunity to sell your wares!
• A talk on Fi Pugh’s personal perspective of training horses, with videos and pictures.
• Evening meal: a table at the local pub, just 5 minutes’ walk from the village hall, is booked for Saturday evening at 1900 – we shall need numbers in advance. The pub is also open at lunchtime for those who may arrive early and wish to eat before the meeting.
• Sunday at 1030: – a practical, ridden demo at Oldhill’s Icelandics, home to Fi Pugh, to complement her talk on Saturday. There will be refreshments at Ian & Fi’s house afterwards for anyone who wishes to stay.
See more info about the Christmas Bazaar etc. here!
We accept that any location for our meeting will not be convenient for the majority of our members, but we do hope you can attend and look forward to seeing you on the 18th November.

Chairman, IHSGB.
