Sport Group Vacancy

We are looking for someone to join the Sport Riding Group to help with organising sport activities for the society

The IHSGB Sport Riding Group (SRG) is appointed by the elected sport leader of IHSGB, who is also a trustee. The remit of the sport group is to promote, foster and improve Icelandic horse sports in the UK. Primarily, this focuses on traditional Icelandic horse competitions (with reference to FEIF sport classes). The full Terms of Reference for the SRG can be found on the website here.

The ideal candidate would:

  • Have a keen interest in Icelandic Horse Sport competition
  • Be able to commit to regular meetings (usually on a weekday evening)
  • Understand that the role at times does require extra time commitment, particularly during the 3-4 months running up to and during the British Championships
  • Understands that all discussions, communication and information shared between the members of the SRG (meetings, phone calls, emails, etc) are confidential.
  • Preferably, have experience riding in sport competitions (at any level).

If you think that you would be interested in joining the SRG or would like more information about what the role includes, please contact the IHSGB Sport Leader on the Contact Us page
