Mid of March, the first big face-to-face event after the Corona restrictions took place with the combined FEIF sport judge and trainer/instructor seminar. At the well prepared Lotushof of Vicky and Beggi Eggertson in Beelitz near Berlin, approx. 70 international participants met in bright sunshine for interesting, well-prepared seminar topics with a lot of practical relevance, active and constructive discussions.
The topics of start box training, procedures at the start box and the judging, riding and training of the pace tests met with great approval. The demonstrations of test procedures in the easy tests and the practical application of the adapted guiding principles were also discussed from the trainer’s and judge’s point of view.
Another interesting focus of the event was on pace training for Five-gait tests and the presentations of several rider-horse combinations were commented and partly judged.
Overall, it was a very open and constructive seminar with many good discussions between trainers and judges. A big thank you to all the motivated riders, to all the helpers, to the group of judges whoo provided the presentations – Sophie Kovac, Martín Heller, Rune Svendsen, Fi Pugh and Marlise Grimm – and of course to Vicky and Beggi, who all contributed to the success with a lot of commitment.
