Following an article in Sleipnir and online in the Members’ Forum there appears to be enough demand to warrant a 2023 IHSGB calendar.
The production of a calendar is relatively easy if we have (1) enough photos and (2) enough demand! We are very happy to produce one if you would like one. We asked you what format you would prefer and, overwhelmingly, you opted for option no. 3 without any associated competition.
1. Great scenic photos of the countryside and Icelandic horses, good quality and high resolution ie: your best photos
or
2. More emphasis on snaps of members with their horses, happy/fun pony’ pics, still good quality and resolution but maybe not so visually stunning?
or
3. A combination / mix n’ match of both.
So…we now need your photos please! All photos can be LANDSCAPE or PORTRAIT ORIENTATION. However they must be HIGH RESOLUTION image files (.jpg) for printing. If you are simply sending web sized files from phones these are probably not of good enough quality for reproduction. We need a selection of stunning scenic ones and happy, maybe less artistically imposing but full of character and fun, members’ snaps.
Please send your files to me at mailto:office@ihsgb.co.uk and use your name in the file title eg: Jo-smith1. jpg, Jo-smith2.jpg etc., just so we can keep track of who sends what, thank you!
For info: For a print run to be viable we are probably looking at 25+ orders, the likely cost for IHSGB members would be c. £10 plus p&p (depending on the deals/offers available at the time) and payment for orders would need to be taken in advance of any print run. Hopefully there will be deals around Black Friday so we need your photos please by …..
Sunday 20th November
Lastly, for those participating in Rebekah & Martine’s amazing Yule Lads Challenge we will include a mini-competition within the call for photos. This is just for IHSGB members who are Yule Lads challengers and could fulfil Dare 3, Week 5! Please add a note that you are a challenger when you submit your photos.
Thank you! Debbie
