THE BEAT GOES ON!: An Event for All of Switzerland
The Icelandic Horse World Championships2025 are being held in Switzerland for the third time. After the championships in Fehraltorf in 1995 and Brunnadern in 2009, the VIS, the association “Icelandic Horse World Championships in Switzerland,” has found the optimal venue with the Hardwinkelhof in Birmenstorf, Aargau. Up to 35,000 visitors are expected. Thanks to the Event Town, which offers an attractive supporting programme, not only horse lovers but also entertainment fans and families will get their money’s worth. With concerts, food stalls, children’s programmes, diverse shopping opportunities, as well as emotional and passionate performances in breeding and sport, it will be an experience for young and old alike. World Championships facilities completed
No need for many words, the pictures speak for themselves: the two oval and pace tracks – one for training and one for competitions – as well as details like washing areas in front of the stable tents, a podium for award ceremonies, collecting ring, etc., everything ready for a great event!

Cashless Payments at the WM 2025
Throughout the entire venue, cashless payments can be made with a wristband that also serves as a ticket. The wristband can be easily and quickly loaded with an individual amount of money via mobile phone or at a physical charging station. After the event, any remaining balance can be refunded.
Day Tickets Now Available
Day tickets for August 5, 6, and 7, 2025 are now available. Prices start at CHF 31.80.-*. Those who cannot attend the entire week of the World Championships now have the opportunity to experience the world’s best in sport and breeding live on individual days.
Symposium – The Knowledge Hub of WM25
An informative and varied supporting programme around the event is in preparation. The symposium offers the ideal place to meet and exchange ideas. There will be entertaining live talks where experts discuss current topics related to horses, as well as exciting lectures that provide new insights into the world of horses. From training tips to feeding and horse well-being, there is something for everyone. Admission is free.
Childcare Service
The Familientreff Birmenstorf Gebenstorf will offer a daycare service at the event, open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9am to 6pm (longer on weekends). The cost is CHF 30 per child for 4 hours, CHF 8 per hour, and CHF 8 for lunch and dinner. Evening Programme
Starting Tuesday, August 5, 2025, parts of the WM venue will transform into a vibrant party zone! Livebands and DJs will heat up the atmosphere daily, ensuring unforgettable evenings full of music and dance. Look forward to ClioZero, who have created the World Championships song, as well as DJ Gary Knecht, SecondFirst, and The Led Farmers. Of course, a well-stocked bar will provide refreshing drinks. Stay tuned, as the special act will be revealed soon – a highlight you won’t want to miss! The detailed schedule for the individual show acts will be announced at a later date.
