- Who you are and location: My name is Cristina Edwards and I live in Pembrokeshire, West Wales.
- Your Occupation: Personal Care Assistant
- How long you have been riding: I have been riding Icelandic’s since I was 4 years old
- How you became interested and involved with Icelandic Horses: I was introduced to Icelandic’s through Mic at Solva Icelandic’s at just 4 years old where Mic Rushen would let both mum and I ride her horses.
- Your Horses-Past and Present: I have been very fortunate to have had the chance to ride lots of different and wonderful horses but the first one we ever owned was Kvika frá Karagerdi who taught me a lot over the years and took me to my first sport competitions! I now have somehow added a few more to the herd, Þokkadís and Mr Grey (Vefur) have now taken over the reins as my main riding and competition horses.
- What you most enjoy doing with your horses: I really enjoy the training and learning aspect of riding as well as competing, hacking with friends and just being around the horses!
Any goals and ambitions you have: Of course, it is always a goal to continue to learn and develop with the horses, but I would also love to compete successfully, internationally, one day as well as producing a home bred horse from start to competing well!
What other interests you have (assuming there is enough time left in your life): Being outside so much with the animals I enjoy spending any spare time reading, painting, baking and spending time with my family and friends!
