There were nominations from 9 countries and a total of 475 persons answering the survey (which is much more than the last years) and Erik Andersen (Norway) received most votes.
Erik Andersen is a highly respected FEIF Level 4 instructor who has played a pivotal role in the Icelandic horse community, both nationally and internationally, for several decades. His remarkable career includes being a dedicated competitor in Icelandic horse competitions, a skilled judge at numerous events, and a cornerstone in the education and mentoring of trainers and instructors in Norway.
Erik Andersen’s utter dedication makes him a truly deserving candidate for this year’s award. We strongly believe Erik’s expertise, and influence in the Icelandic horse community, make the ideal recipient of the FEIF Instructor/Trainer of the Year 2024.
