Sad loss of a wonderful member Sandy Riddle
As news filters through with disbelief, it is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the sudden passing of Sandy Riddle.
She leaves behind her husband Clive and their three sons, Toby, Lewis and Elliot.
Sandy had enjoyed attending the World Championships in her home country, Switzerland, (flying home on Sunday evening 10th August).
This sweet, kind lady touched many lives and was looking forward to participating in so many future events.
Caroline Roberts writes:
Clive (Sandy’s husband) absolutely wants to let the Icelandic community know how touched he’s been with the overwhelming support shown to Sandy during her many adventures, and also for all the kind words/cards/posts for him and the boys.
Any other arrangements will be passed on once the family are in a position to let us know.
We’re going to commemorate Sandy at the Orchard Farm show on 14th September. There’ll be a minute’s silence and then I’ll be saying a few words. Kerry’s organising a new annual trophy for a special partnership award. All are welcome.
We, the Trustees and management team have passed on our condolences from the society. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this difficult time.
