Since the first webinar was a big success, we decided to offer another date in April:
The lecture is relevant for riders, judges, riding instructors, as well as competition and breeding riders. It explains the interrelationship between the horse’s balance and saddle position, supported by sound biomechanical and anatomical principles that highlight the importance of correct saddle placement in Icelandic horse sport.
Key topics include balance, harmony, long-term soundness, willingness to perform, and gait quality. The influence of saddle position on the horse’s weight-bearing capacity and on both muscular and skeletal development is discussed in detail. In addition, girth placement is described from an anatomical and biomechanical perspective and linked directly to saddle position and saddle design.
