As the AGM is only 10 days away, I wanted to update you on some exciting developments.
We have managed to secure a minimum of 8 small independent businesses that are willing to support the AGM & we will now have an amazing Christmas Shopping Village, at the Venue. We will be able to accept cash or card.
Due to the overwhelming support, we will now be catering the event from the village hall, directly after the meeting.
There will be time to browse the stands, have a sociable leisurely, locally prepared lunch & then shop until you drop, all under the same roof!!
We felt too much time would be lost packing everything away & driving to and from venues, so this will make a great gathering of Icelandic Friends, in one place. There is also easy parking.
There will be a Christmas Hamper raffle, so please bring your purses 💞
You are most welcome to attend the AGM, followed by the lunch and the shopping village. If you are not currently a member of the IHSGB, this will mean you will not be eligible to vote but otherwise, you are welcome to attend & see what it’s all about! You can also book lunch & of course please do shop!
With so few events, spread across the countryside, it would be amazing to try and get as many people together to celebrate the end of the 40th Anniversary year.
RSVP to attend the lunch, needs to be in with me as soon as possible. Ideally by 9th November so that I can go shopping, in preparation for cooking.

Vegetable lasagne (GF)
Cheese/onion/Tomato Quiche
Quiche Lorraine
(Gluten Free quiche option available on request)
There will be a selection of the following to accompany:
Green mixed salad
Potato salad
Coleslaw
Garlic Bread
Herb butter salad potatoes
Followed by:
Homemade cake selection:
Chocolate cake
Victoria sponge
GF Cake
Tea and coffee
Squash
The cost will be £10pp
A lot of work has gone into organising this event and I hope that lots of people will be able to attend in person.
If you are unable to attend, please don’t forget that this will be a Zoom hybrid meeting & we will send the link out.
