The IHSGB Youth League is aimed at the sport side of Icelandic horse riding, running alongside the Youth Awards. It rewards young riders for taking part and competing across the season — not only for winning.
Objectives
- Encouraging young riders to attend more events.
- Rewarding consistency … not just winning!
- Recognising achievement across all skill levels.
Eligibility
- Young riders are those aged 21 and under (from 1 January of each year).
- Riders must hold a current IHSGB membership.
- All IHSGB and IHSGB-supported events count towards this league, including online events.
- Please note: eligibility includes Tölt Online leagues and non-oval-track events.
Submitting your results
- Submit your event activity using the entry form at the bottom of this page.
- Results are to be submitted within 72 hours of each event.
- Submissions for events that took place before the launch of the league (29 August 2026) will also be accepted, provided the event took place on or after 1 January 2026.
- The league closes on 31 December 2026.

- First ever IHSGB event — 5 pts
- Riding at a championship — 3 pts

- 10 and under
- 11 – 13 yrs
- 14 – 17 yrs
- 18 – 21 yrs
